Ambassador Easy.

Ogun State is a place where heroes and visionary leadership are even more rare. However, Ogun State can still take pride in one leader who has demonstrated rare courage and commitment to justice. One who has made personal sacrifices to advance the common good, and who remains unrelenting in the search for good and responsible governance. That leader is Asiwaju Yinka Mafe, a two-term Ogun State house of assembly member and one of the prominent leader in Sagamu local govenment under ruling party,  All Progressives Congress (APC).

Mafe is that rare leader who combines practical political acumen, strategic vision and moral principles. Mafe’s good works and actions are stabilizing his political party, with these contributions alone, he has helped his state keep to the path leading toward good governance, human rights and prosperity for all. In a political culture where most members of the political class gravitate towards the ruling party to ease the path towards fulfilment of personal ambition or for pecuniary reward, Yinka Mafe’s resilience and steadfastness in APC is remarkable. It is a testimony to the depth of the convictions that have motivated and sustained him in politics.

By his focus and determination, Hon Yinka Mafe, has over the years carved out a distinctive personage for himself in Ogun politics. With a towering political stature, a two-term Ogun State house of assembly member, and presently the majority leader of the house. As each day passes by, Mafe thinks new strategy, options and style in both politics and governance. He envisions and muses with deep reflection, the Ogun State problems as well as the best approach possible. He knows politics much as he understands the game of power since he won the Councillorship election of Ward 3 under the auspices of the Alliance for Democracy(A.D) at Ayegbami, Offin, Sagamu in 1998/99. Indeed, Yinka Mafe’s democratic footprints go beyond Ogun State, the virtues of courage, determination, commitment, vision, hard work, focus and strong sense of purpose that have characterised Mafe’s politics drove his emergence as the only grassroot and most successful politician in Remoland who has set a record straight for all other politicians to follow, "Mafe leads while others follow" .

Since he assumed office in the year 2011, his stewardship of Ogun State for close to 8 years as Ogun State house of assembly member remains a reference for good governance. ” Mafe remains most relentless fighter for democracy in Remoland, justice and the rule of law. No history in Remoland and Ogun State at large can be compiled or completed without giving due regard to his contributions to safeguarding the democratic aspersions of an entire community, state and its people, regardless of creed and ethnic background, at a time when those aspirations were deeply threatened. AYM is a known and proud champion of Remo Agenda.

Today, he remains the most vociferous voice for the people of Sagamu local government at the state level. Yinka Mafe has served the cause of humanity and expanded the frontiers of freedom and democracy in Ogun State. He is one of foremost politicians and champions of true federalism. He is one of the few leaders and champions of democracy with the potential and experience to take Remo federal constituency to the next level come 2019 general elections as ordained by Almighty God.

He's a professional in politics and not a professional politician.

Asiwaju Yinka Mafe was born on the 4th of February, 1974 to the family of Chief Timothy Mafe and Mrs. Lydia Mafe(now of blessed memory) in the local town of Emuren, a suburb of Sagamu, Remo, Ogun State. He has one sister from his mum and 7 other step-siblings.
