Support Only Politicians With Good Track Records; SOS Urges The Electorate.
September 4, 2018.
Former Chief Whip of Ogun State house of assembly; Hon. Samuel Olusegun Solarin (SOS) urged the electorate to ensure that the politicians seeking for one post or the other in the coming election were supported based on their track records and not on promises. SOS made the call today, while addressing the audience in a meeting in constituency II, Makun.
SOS noted that any aspirant vying for a particular post must have contributed or done a project in the past, project which would have contributed to the development of the community, pointing out that coming around to be making fresh promises to the electorate is deceptive.
Why urging residents to reject cash and other incentives being shared by some aspirants, for they are desperate to occupy the post they are vying for. SOS said, ”If you collect money, know that you have collected your security, your roads and your infrastructure. It is demeaning, degrading and insulting that anyone who is making promises and at the same time offer you money. Tell them your dignity cannot be bought by money”
SOS emphasized that all politicians should always keep to their promises otherwise they should not be eligible in an election. SOS was in OGHA in 2011 till 2015, he engaged in some physical empowerment programmes through his foundation, SOS Foundation. Part of his political achievements are;
