Our attention has been drawn to the lies going viral online and across Remoland where Prince Dapo Abiodun claimed that he gave Asiwaju Yinka Mafe a sum of 10 million naira in 2015.
Our initial view was to ignore it as part of the falsehood expected at this critical and material time. We believe it was one of the propaganda designed to give life to their sinking aspirations and ambitions as they have realised the popularity and acceptability of Asiwaju Yinka Mafe amongst the good people of Remo Federal constituency.
Well, AYM put it on record today again while addressing a press conference in his constituency office in Sagamu. "Egbon Dapo Abiodun DID NOT and I repeat DID NOT give me, Asiwaju Yinka Mafe a sum of 10 million naira neither did he give me ANY money after he lost his Senatorial Elections in 2015 as claimed in a video being circulated" AYM categorically stated.
AYM said he heard the lies from the councillor of his ward when Prince Dapo Abiodun invited the councillors to Lagos. Prince Dapo Abiodun had told them he gave Mafe N15m and other Ogun East Assembly Candidates N10m. Asiwaju Yinka Mafe (AYM) upon hearing this, had put calls through and sent Prince Dapo Abiodun series of text messages to inform him that he gave AYM no money and that AYM received no money from Prince Dapo Abiodun, that if truly he sent money as he said, AYM beseech him to ask the persons he sent to deliver the said money but AYM received no reply from Prince Dapo Abiodun till date.
Be that as it may, our appeal to our supporters is to ignore Prince Dapo Abiodun and any such persons bent on lowering the quality of political discourse. Let them drown in their own waters.
