Few Of Our Achievements That Earned Us "Mr Ogijo" Status; Asiwaju Yinka Mafe.
Published Nov., 4, 2018
Mr Ogijo was elected in 2011 as a member of Ogun State house of assembly, and 2015, he was successfully re-elected for a second term under the auspices of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and currently serves as a Principal Officer in the position of Majority Leader of the Ogun State House of Assembly (OGHA). He has held this position since June 2015.
Mr Ogijo in his 20 years of political career has been a strong, resilient and passionate voice for his Remo people in particular and Ogun State in general. As a seasoned politician and leader, he has consistently demonstrated and epitomized the true meaning of servant-leardership. This sterling quality, is easily reflected in the outstanding performance and achievements in people-oriented programmes and schemes that he has recorded over the years.
Just at the early hours of today, some elites from Ogijo were in a group chat with AYM (Mr Ogijo) himself where they pointed out most of AYM's achievements over the years in Ogijo and they also used the medium to ask for more.
Some of the elites stated categorically that Ogijo has never enjoyed the dividends of democracy aside from AYM's achievements which is not good enough. "We were neglected and deprived of our rights" Stated the elites.
The achievements are;
1. AYM sponsored and made sure the Creation of Sagamu South LCDA has its headquarters in OGIJO moving it from Sotubo and declining to support his Emuren.
2. AYM facilitated the construction of a Modern Health Centre which is as good if not better than some General Hospitals by Shell.
3. AYM facilitated the construction and dualisation of Ikorodu-Ogijo-Sagamu Road before FG took over.
4. AYM constructed Blocks of Classrooms at St Paul Pry School Ogijo.
5. AYM facilitated the construction of the blocks of classrooms and toilets at Moro School by MDA led by Afusat Abiola.
6. AYM made sure over three communities whom land owners/grabbers would have sent into extinction by demolition survived in Ogijo.
7. AYM made sure he brought some of his key projects to Ogijo like the Eye Surgery, where Ogijo indigenes benefitted greatly.
8. AYM has been part and parcel of Ogijo Development Association since inception to date.
9. By the grace and benevolence of the almighty God, AYM made sure Hon Awoniyi from Ogijo became the Vice Chairman and later an Executive Chairman of Sagamu LG... and loads more too numerous to mention without sounding immodest.
We doubt if anyone has contributed more to Ogijo Development. AYM (Mr Ogijo) has pledged to contribute more if supported and elected in to the green chambers of the National Assembly in the coming 2019 elections.
Signed:
