Press Release: Unprovoked Assault on Mafe Campaign by Political Thugs of Well known Contestant as Rep for Remo Federal Constituency

We have been having a great house to house campaign since two weeks with jubilation and sigh of relief everywhere we go but today after we rounded up our campaign in Ward 1 around 7.15pm we got a report that one of our coordinators by the name of Kanisuru Abbey in the ward was attacked by hired thugs one of which is named Niyi Ashaye who is a political hireling of a very well known contestant as Rep. for Remo Federal Constituency. Kanisuru Abbey was beaten blue-black, his was broken and was almost murdered.  He has since been rushed to a Hospital where he is recuperating.

Last Saturday, it was gun shot battle at Odogbolu by the same set of boys at their rally after they were also reported to have shot sporadically into the air in Ode Remo earlier on same day, we hope the Police and other security agencies are taking note of these events. We are peace loving organisation but wont be intimidated in our quest to take Remo to greater heights. The timidity of a lion should not be mistaken for cowardice.

We enjoin all Police formations and other security agencies in Remo land to act quickly to secure the lives and properties of peace loving people of Remo.
