2019: I Am The Best Man To Represent The Good People Of Remo Federal Constituency; Hon. (Barr.) Asiwaju Yinka Mafe

A leading House of Representatives Candidate of Allied Peoples' Movement *(APM)* for Remo Federal Constituency in the 2019 general elections, Asiwaju Yinka Mafe also known as *AYM* stated yesterday morning while addressing a press conference at his constituency office, Ita Oba that he decided to join the race because the people of Remo Federal Constituency have not experienced good representation since its creation.

In his speech, AYM noted that those that have represented Remo Federal Constituency in the past have not responded quickly enough to the frustrations and challenges of the people which include unemployment, infrastructural decay and illiteracy.

Mafe stated that aside from lawmaking and oversight, he will use his manifesto which is titled ‘Building Opportunity for Greater Remoland’ to meet the needs of the people through the provision of education, development of local economies and empowerment.

AYM added that he is the best man for the job based on his experience as a lawmaker at different levels of government, a community and youth leader, competence, character, proven capacity to deliver, quality of bills he intends to sponsor, open door policy and the determination to speak for the people at all times.

His words: “I decided to take on the burden of leadership for the glorious people of Remo Federal Constituency because for decades of years that I have been in this Federal Constituency, I have not experienced good leadership and qualitative representation.

"The people that have represented us have not responded quickly enough to our frustration and challenges. We have a very young, growing dynamic population in Remo Federal Constituency which makes lots of young people jobless.

“Because of the numerous challenges facing our federal constituency, I cannot be restricted to the core functions of making laws, policy oversights and motions. I have to make sure that whatever I do bring development to the local communities.

“It is against this backdrop that my manifesto which is Building Opportunities for a Greater Remoland is anchored on three core areas of education, developing local economies and empowerment.

“I have extensively interfaced with the people across the board on the core essence of my manifesto and I was overwhelmed by the massive reception and show of love received. Throughout my tour of Remo communities, I saw first-hand high level of poverty, infrastructural decay and lack of jobs. I think politics aside, we must try hard to improve the lots of these people.

“I am the best man to represent the people of Remo Federal Constituency because I am going to stand for the people, defend their interest, I am not going to the national assembly to become a wasteful spender who waste their entitlements on selfish and senseless mission the way others have done and forget about the people. I am going to be the advocate and voice of the underrepresented people of Remo Federal Constituency. I am going to be a vanguard for development of Remo communities by watching over every aspect of their budget.

"INEC just extended the collection of PVC to Monday. My fellow Remonians, kindly take the advantage of the extension to collect your PVCs, cast your votes for all *APM* Candidates, ensure you all monitor and defend your votes, by the benevolence of the Almighty God and the support from the electorates across Remoland, victory is ascertained".
