BREAKING: Sultan declares Tuesday as 1st day of Ramadan.

  Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar (III), the Sultan of Sokoto has declared Tuesday as the first day of Ramadan fast for the year 1442/2021 in Nigeria.

The sighting of the new crescent moon marks the beginning of the Ramadan fasting. 

While announcing the development in Sokoto, Sultan Abubakar said the crescent moon was sighted in different parts of the country, hence declared Tuesday as the 1st day of Ramadan for the Islamic 1442 After Hijrah.
