BREAKING: AKARIGBO Is Inaccessible - Prominent Sagamu Youth Affirms
Published On May 25, 2021
Comrade Gbenga Ambassador Easy
Some weeks back, I was at Ijebu Ode, I went there to visit some of my old secondary School mates, some of which are graduates from Nigerians prominent Universities and Polytechnics.
We started discussing about our Royal Fathers, how accommodating they are and how they've politicized their stools.
I felt so dejected when a Friend told me that they can put it into black and white as Youths, send to Oba Sikiru Adetona, Awujale of Ijebu Ode that they want to see him, drop the letter in the morning and Awujale would facilitates a meeting the same day possibly in the evening.
It was not just a gay saying but I was a witness, Awujale is a king that prioritizes the Youths.
Where we were seated, scampering back to old days, a Fellow said the same thing applicable to Oba Alake Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo III, the Alake of Egbeland, just in my presence, he called his people at Egba to write a letter to Alake that the Youths want to see him for an urgent issue, within 3 hours, there was a response from the palace stating that the youth should come the following day to see Alake that he went for a special and important function on that very day that if not for that, they would have scheduled the meeting for the same day.
Tears rolled down my chicks because I knew that the reverse is the case when it comes to our own Akarigbo of Remoland.
The questions are, how many times has Akarigbo engaged the Youth of his Community? Is it possible for the Youth to see the Akarigbo of Remoland the same way the Youths in Abeokuta and Ijebu Ode see Alake and Awujale respectively? The answer is capital NO. But why? Have we offended our own Akarigbo?
May I unequivocally state at this junction that the cabals very close to the palace, Akarigbo needed to be checked and scrutinized because whatever they do would be linked to Oba Babatunde Adewale Ajayi, Akarigbo.
There are some people within the palace that if they don't want you to see Akarigbo, you won't see him even if the issues is most important or security issues or alert.
In my own view and opinion, I feel Akarigbo should be able to engage the youth in an interactive session possibly every three months or on quarterly basis as we understand his tight and busy schedules.
Let me reiterate that Alake and Awujale have the contacts of the Leaders of the youth in all the towns under their watches and don't need to get any information elsewhere but just a call to those Youths Leaders would make both of them well informed about the happenings in the town.
Any King who isn't closer to the grassroots would not but be deformed of vital and cogent informations.
I need to remind the palace of Akarigbo on the recent cheap blackmail by Koiki Media and Co., where they alleged that Akarigbo wasn't in support of the Yoruba Nation.
However, all the youths across Remoland mostly Sagamu Youths stood gallantly and defended their own Akarigbo. How many youths have been able to see Akarigbo since he returned from abroad, it's so sad that the answer is NON.
Without mincing words, Sagamu Youth Association and National Youth Council of Nigeria are the two active bodies operating in Sagamu presently, they both aired their views by saying NO to cheap blackmail on their own Akarigbo but how many Youths did Akarigbo engaged since he returned.
It's high time Akarigbo embrace the grassroots most especially the Youths, the SYA President (Comrade Segun Success) and NYCN Coordinator (Comrade Idris Awoderu)and SPAF Chairman (Otunba Kayode Howells) should have Akarigbo hotline and should be able to access him directly during this jet age.
May I also appreciate our own Akarigbo for not politicizing the stool during this period, he's indeed and in truth a reputable and King of high integrity.
Before I drop the curtain on this issue, permit to recapitulate that our own Akarigbo was supported mostly by the Youths before and after he ascended his Father's throne, he's the King of Youths and the Youths can go extra mile in defending and supporting him, our Akarigbo should please reciprocate such kind gestures.
I implore Kabiyesi not to wait or rely only on report from the source he believes in, putting a call to SYA President, NYCN Coordinator and SPAF Chairman is even enough to garner a lot of informations in and around Sagamu environs.
Please watch out for my next episode... Still on Youths and Akarigbo.
God bless Sagamu!!!
God bless Remoland!!!
God bless Ogun State!!!
God bless Nigeria!!!
