"No Ethnic Clash In Sagamu" Sagamu Indigenes Affirm.
June 7, 2021
Some prominents Sagamites have been inundated with several calls and messages within and outside Nigeria due to the rumour flying around most especially on social media where it was reported that the Fulani Herdsmen took to the street of Sagamu, killing the Yorubas.
The truth is that there is a cult clash in Sagamu where someone was said to have been killed, and the Sagamu Peace Agenda Forum (SPAF) under the Leadership of Otunba Kayode Howells and other Security Agencies have been working tirelessly and sleeplessly in ensuring that normalcy returns to the town.
SON gathered that many social media handlers have misled the general public on the current happenings in Sagamu.
SON reported that some schools gates were immediately locked at the early hours of today when the false news was broken.
A source confirmed that Sagamu is known as a peaceful town and that the entire residents have been enjoying peaceful co-existence and love which has brought some development to the town.
Having gone around the town, SON gathered that no business activity was disrupted, people are seen going about their daily activities and businesses, without fear or panic.
SON, in a conversation with SPAF Chairman, Otunba Kayode Howells noted that SPAF is working hand in hand with other Security Agencies, series of meetings are ongoing and that he assured the residents of Sagamu that nothing would disrupt the peace and harmony we've been experiencing and enjoying for years in Sagamu.
