RIDSCo was established in 1998 by late Alaiyeluwa Oba Michael Adeniyi Sonariwo, Erinjugbo II, Akarigbo and Paramount Ruler of Remo, for the expressed purpose of harnessing the support of the West African Portland Cement Company (now Lafarge-WAPCO Plc) for sustainable community development projects
According to report, Baba Olotu Omooba Oyedele had earlier spent 8 years as Vice Chairman of the Royal Initiative for the Development of Sagamu Community (RIDSCo) under the ebullient leadership of Asiwaju of Remoland, Pa SK Onafowokan.
Asiwaju SK Onafowokan performed meritoriously and tremendously well, properly engaged Sagamu Youths, his watchword then was accountability and transparency, after his tenure, he took a bow and handed the mantle of leadership over to the Vice Chairman, Olotu Omooba Oyedele who's currently the Chairman of RIDSCo.
Olotu Oyedele also spent another 11 years as Chairman of RIDSCo, total of 19 years in RIDSCo as Vice Chairman and Chairman respectively.
The question that bothers intellectual minds and souls is that, is there no capable, vibrant, diligent, prudent, trustworthy person in Sagamu metropolis again???
In Yoruba land, only a King is meant to reign till he answers the calls of his ancestors, Baba Olotu Omooba Oyedele should honourably take a bow and allow another Sagamite takes over the mantle of RIDSCo leadership.
Sampling the opinions of great Sagamu indigenes, majority kicked against Baba Olotu Omooba Oyedele's continuity in office.
