The African Democratic Congress (ADC) Governorship candidate in the 2023 election in Ogun State, Barrister Biyi Otegbeye (BOT) has said that the appearance of his name on the published list of Governorship contestants by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is a call to duty.
In a brief chat with Merit News Online crew which was monitored by Save Our Nation SON, when they sought his reaction to the published list in Abeokuta today (October 4, 2022), Otegbeye said it was a victory for "resilience, hard work and sincerity of purpose of the political family I belong to and the entire members of ADC across the State."
He said he was aware of the yearnings of Ogun State people for a change, adding that the sufferings of the youths, market women, artisans, pensioners and other groups will become a thing of the past when the current administration take their leave from office in May, 2023.
The ADC flagbearer urged his party members to be prepared for the tasks ahead, saying "we are headed to victory together in the 2023 elections."
