The residents of Aiyetoro village in Makun area of Sagamu local government area has called on the incumbent Government, Prince Dapo Abiodun, his royal majesty, Oba Dr babatunde Adewale Ajayi, the Akarigbo and Paramount Ruler of Remoland to come to their aids.

Ewusi of Makun Kingdom, Hon. Dewunmi Onanuga Ijaya, Hon. Ademola Adeyinka Sapele, Chairman Afo amongst others were also called upon.

Our correspondent reports that the Ogunyanwo family claimed they got an approval to rename the road Ogunyanwo Road from the same local government that issued an approval for it to be named Aiyetoro road.

However, SON gathered that the whole villagers were against the renaming of such road, Ogunyanwo as they were all pleased with the original name, Aiyetoro.

Some of the residents said Aiyetoro Road and village have being in existence from time immemorial and changing the name during this period won't be welcomed.

In a video which has gone viral, Amotekun security networks was spotted with signposts of "Ogunyanwo Road" but the villagers kicked against the erection of such signposts as it's against their wills and wishes.

Fielding questions from Journalists, the Baale of Aiyetoro, Chief Abdul Lateef Sunday outrightly condemned the moves in renaming Aiyetoro Road, reiterated that Oba Timothy Oyesola Akinsanya, Ewusi of Makun Kingdom had once waded into the matter and the resolution was that the road should remain Aiyetoro Road.

"I don't know the interest of Ogunyanwo family in renaming the said road, why kicking against the wishes of our people, why making another move in contrary to the resolution signed by both Sikuloye/Kayinogun and Ogunyanwo family in which Kabiyesi Ewusi also appended his own signature." Chief Sunday stated

Report has it that a letter of agreement by both Sikuloye/Kayinogun and Ogunyanwo was signed by Oba Timothy Oyesola Akinsanya, Ewusi Of Makun Kingdom where Oba Ewusi empathically stated the reverse of the road name from the proposed Ogunyanwo Road back to its original name, Aiyetoro Road.

As at the time of filling this report, all efforts to reach the Ogunyanwo family proved abortive.
