Sagamu day festival is an annual historic event which is celebrated by all Sagamu indigenes home and diaspora.

Yesterday, Oba Dr babatunde Adewale Ajayi, Torungbuwa II, LLB, LLM, FCA, FBIR, CFR, the Akarigbo and Paramount Ruler of Remoland and also the Chairman of Ogun State Council of Obas flagged off the Sagamu Day Festival which is slated for three days.

Sagamu Indigenes and non Indigenes trooped out en-masse yesterday during the procession to the Eri-Sagamu groove ably led by Kabiyesi Alayeluwa, Oba Akarigbo.

Eri-Sagamu is the river that is responsible for the existence and prosperity of Sagamu. It is worshipped by all Sagamu Indigenes so that the town may continue to experience peace, unity progress and rapid development.

When it is worshipped at the right time, commerce thrives and harvests are bountiful.

SON gathered that Oosa Eri Sagamu is so powerful that if she is neglected and not fed, she will arise and appear to one of the town’s leaders, and complain.

Remo monumental project at Ita Oba roundabout, Sagamu was also commissioned.

Sagamu Youths, Dignitaries, Obas, Chiefs across Remoland amongst others were all in attendance.
