The Articulate Motorcycle Owners & Riders Association of Nigeria (AMORAN) has called on the adherents of the Islamic faith and Nigerians in general, to exhibit the spirit of love, sacrifice, unity and obedience to God which are some of the hallmarks and historical significance of the Eid-el-Kabir celebration.

The union gave this admonition in a message issued by its publicity Secretary, Otunba Taofeek Sokoya which was shared with Save Our Nation SON, on the occasion of the 2023 Eid-ul-Adha celebration.

He explained that the significance of the season should be beyond feasting, adding that as Muslims prepare to offer animal sacrifice in the prescribed days of the festival, the real essence should be to encourage piety, self-discipline and sacrifice.

The message reads in part, "The significance of the season should be beyond the festivities but towards a sincere commitment to righteous conducts in private and public lives".

“As we celebrate this auspicious occasion, let us renew our faith and implore the Almighty God to restore to us,  those values that place high premium on human life, love of neighbour and sharing even as we ventilate our faith in the unity of our dear gateway state and the country at large. This period requires more patience, fortitude, tolerance, endurance, patriotism and a greater willingness to make personal sacrifices for the good of all".

Finally, the union registered firm confidence in the leadership attributes of the President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Prince Dapo Abiodun, Ogun state Governor, noting that the building our future together agenda will help bring a renewed hope to the good people of Ogun state and Nigeria as a whole.
