Hon. Smart Uchechi Akandu congratulated his bossom friend Hon Onoriode Agofure on his emergence as Commissioner of Delta State.

Meanwhile, the Delta State house of assembly had screened and confirmed Onoriode Agofure with many others on the floor of the house some days ago.

The confirmation followed their successful screening on the floor of the Assembly, presided over by the Speaker of the house, Mr Dennis Guwor, in Asaba, the state capital.

Congratulations to my Brother from another Mother, my very bossom friend Hon. Onoriode Agofure who was appointed by the Governor of Delta State Rt. Hon Sherriff Oborevwori, the action Governor who has the people interest at heart.

Smart who is from Imo State but was born and bred in Warri, Delta State, once worked as personal assistant to Rt Hon. MUYIWA OLADIPO, who was the former Commissioner for local government and chieftaincy affairs and Commissioner for culture and tourism respectively for eight years under the good and great leadership of former Governor of Ogun State, distinguished Senator Ibikunle Amosun.

Uchechi sent his goodwill messages to the Governor and also appreciated him for considering the youth to pilot the affairs of his government for a better and rapid development in Delta State.

Our action Governor didn't just pick the Youth but he appointed the best for a greater and betterment of the state.

This is a great opportunity for the youth to deliver in Delta State and wholeheartedly support the Governor on the task ahead in ensuring that Delta State is moved to the next level.

"Let me use this medium to heartily congratulate Agofure on this well deserved achievement and another feather added, considering his achievements when he was a council Honourable representing his people, he did tremendously well and also impacted the life of his people without waiting for government support which is the beauty of democracy.

"I encourage him to work with the Sheriff led administration and give his very best just the same way he did during his term as Council Lawmaker, I'm optimistic and very sure that Delta State Governor will never regret on your appointment.

"Also, I encourage the good people of Delta State to support this administration for a better future because all those appointed are ready and willing to give in their best possible for the betterment of the state, I'm looking forward for a greater Delta State, the big heart." Hon Smart expressed.

Smart also appealed to the Governor to look into the security and environmental issues in the State, suggested that a task force should be working from time to time to enforce sanitation laws, mostly during this raining season. The monthly environmental sanitation should continue because a lot of our people are polluting the environment, environment laws should be enforced in our market places, schools, business and industrial areas and hospitals.

Uchechi in his words while speaking on security implored the Governor to step up his game as the chief security officer of the state as protecting the lives and properties of his citizens are very imperative during this period. He unequivocally stated that he so much believe in the action Governor that insecurity in Warri and other part of the state would become things of the past.

Congratulations to Mr Governor, Hon Onoriode Agofure, other commissioner nominees and to all Deltans as the all commissioner nominees would be sworn-in tomorrow August 22, 2023.
