As we approach the Christmas and new year seasons where there would be lots of celebration around the world, his royal majesty, Oba Dr Babatunde Adewale Ajayi, Torungbuwa II, LLB, LLM, FCA, FBR, CFR, the Akarigbo and Paramount Ruler of Remoland and also the Chairman, Ogun State Council of Obas issued a strong warning to those who intend using fireworks (banger) during the season.
Oba Akarigbo announced this through the town crier that the use of fireworks (Banger) in Sagamu is highly prohibited due to the ongoing security challenges in town. Parents and guardians are advised to caution their wards against using fireworks.
In his words, Akarigbo said the security of the town lies in our collective hands and all hands must be on deck to ensure that we have a peaceful atmosphere and joyous celebration and that any act or doing that could serve as a means of distractions to the uniform men should be shunned in all totality.
Akarigbo emphasized the importance of compliance, warning of legal consequences for those who disobey.
