The Articulate Motorcycle Owners & Riders Association of Nigeria (AMORAN) in Ogun State has officially distanced itself from the proposed protest scheduled for August 1, 2024. This announcement was made today during an extended state executive committee meeting  held at the union's state secretariat at car wash, adatan, Abeokuta.

Speaking at the meeting, AMORAN's Public Relations Officer, Otunba Taofeek Sokoya, emphasized that the union does not endorse the planned protest. "We believe that Nigeria is on a promising path under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu," Sokoya stated. The union also commends the Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun, for his outstanding performance since his re-election. "We are particularly excited about the E-bike initiative, a significant step towards modernizing transportation in our state. This initiative will be launched today at the Arcade Ground, Governor's Office, Oke Mosan, and we believe it will greatly benefit our members and the general public".

The union's leadership reiterated its commitment to promoting peace and stability, urging all members and the general public to continue contributing positively to the development of Nigeria.

The meeting, which saw the attendance of key union leaders including Otunba Nurudeen Aina Alowonle (Chairman, Ogun State AMORAN), Mr. Kazeem Lawal (Deputy Chairman, Ogun State AMORAN), Comrade Kamal Oluwatoyin Kelabi and other executive members and branch chairmen, focused on reinforcing the union's stance on national development and unity.
