The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Sagamu Local Government has officially submitted three shortlisted aspirants for the position of Local Government Chairman ahead of the upcoming council elections in November.

After a highly competitive process that saw over 21 aspirants from the 15 Wards of the local government express interest, the APC leaders finalized the following three names for consideration:

- Hon. Tola Olutayo (Belgium)
- Hon. Nurudeen Aina Alowonle
- Engr Kashimawo Taofeek (Kash)

The endorsement was made at a meeting convened by the LGA leadership, where the trio emerged as the preferred choice to fly the party's flag in the forthcoming elections. The list of endorsed candidates was signed by prominent party leaders, including Chief Adedoyin Adeleke, Senatorial Chairman, PA Olaleye Rafiu, APC Party chairman, Sagamu, and other notable figures.

The outcome is expected to set the tone for a highly competitive general election race, as the chosen candidate will lead the APC's charge in the November council polls. All eyes are now on Governor Dapo Abiodun and the APC leadership to make the final decision on who will represent the party in the forthcoming council elections.

This phase of the selection process has been lauded as one of the most peaceful and orderly political runs in recent history for the premier local government.
