BREAKING: AMORAN Members Reaffirm Confidence In Sokoya’s Leadership In Ogun

The Articulate Motorcycle Owners and Riders Association of Nigeria (AMORAN) convened its first extended state executive meeting of the year today at the union’s state secretariat in Abeokuta, Ogun State. The meeting witnessed a robust turnout of state executives and key stakeholders from the union.
Among the notable members of executives present at thr meeting were: the Deputy Chairman, Mr. Kazeem Lawal; State Secretary, Comrade Kelani Kamal; Ogun Central Senatorial Chairman, Mr. Habeeb Okedara; Ogun East Senatorial Chairman, Comrade Lekan Akinola; and Ogun West Senatorial Chairman, Comrade Babatunde Lawal.
During the meeting, the Chairman, Otunba Taofeek Sokoya addressed a viral allegation claiming he misappropriated seven hundred million naira (#700, 000, 000:00) collected from members of the union for frivolous expenditures. Otunba Sokoya categorically denied the allegation, describing it as unfounded and baseless.
The branch chairmen and state executive members present also dismissed the rumor, labeling it as the handiwork of disgruntled elements aiming to tarnish the chairman’s reputation and disrupt his cordial relationship with the Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun CON.
Otunba Sokoya extended his gratitude to Governor Dapo Abiodun; the Secretary to the State Government; Mr. Tokunbo Talabi, the Commissioner for Transport, Engr. Gbenga Dairo and the Chairman of Parks and Garages, Alhaji Lukman Adunmo for their prudent handling of the matter. According to him, their wisdom ensured that the issue did not escalate as intended by the rumormongers.
At the end of the meeting, the state executives unanimously passed a vote of confidence in Otunba Sokoya, affirming their support for his leadership and commending his efforts in steering the union toward progress.
