The Commander of Remo Neighborhood Watch (RNW), Mr. K. Ogunsanu, popularly known as Oloriebi, has commended the Akarigbo and Paramount Ruler of Remo Land, His Royal Majesty, Oba Babatunde Adewale Ajayi, for his steadfast commitment to security and stability in Sagamu. He acknowledged the monarch’s unwavering support for the RNW, which has played a crucial role in maintaining law and order across the town.
Speaking during a strategic meeting with the executive members of the Sagamu Youth Association (SYA), Mr. Ogunsanu praised the synergy between security agencies and youth leaders in tackling crime. He emphasized that the RNW has continued to work tirelessly to ensure that Sagamu remains a peaceful community, thanks to the collaborative efforts of traditional leaders, law enforcement, and proactive youth engagement.
He further applauded the leadership of the Sagamu Youth Association, particularly its President, Comrade Olugbenga Lawal, Ambassador Easy, for his dedication to community service and security advocacy. According to him, Comrade Olugbenga has consistently demonstrated readiness to support initiatives that promote peace, making the association a key stakeholder in fostering security in the town.
Under the current local government administration, Sagamu has experienced significant progress in curbing violence and crime-related activities. The regime’s zero-tolerance approach to cultism, hooliganism, and other criminal activities has reinforced the efforts of security outfits like the RNW. This has led to improved safety, allowing businesses and social activities to thrive without fear of disruption.
The impact of this security-conscious governance is evident in the community’s stability, as crime rates have significantly declined compared to previous years. The administration’s support for security initiatives, coupled with the vigilance of the RNW and the active involvement of youth groups, has helped in neutralizing threats before they escalate into major incidents.
The meeting reaffirmed the collective responsibility of all stakeholders in sustaining the peace that Sagamu currently enjoys. Commander Ogunsanu urged residents, youth leaders, and security personnel to remain united in their commitment to safeguarding lives and property. He also assured that the RNW will continue to work closely with relevant authorities to maintain law and order in the community.
