Few days ago, the news about Royal Initiative for the Development of Sagamu Community; RIDSCo's misappropriation of Sagamu Community fund went viral online, the Youths were said to have commenced agitations due to Sagamu Underdevelopment.

A correspondent from Save Our Nation (SON) engaged His Royal Majesty, Oba Babatunde Adewale Ajayi, Torungbuwa II, the Akarigbo and Paramount Ruler of Remoland in an interview session which lasted for two hours.

During the interview, Akarigbo aired his views;

"RIDSCO has done better than any Local Government administration. Baba Olotu Oyedele has done a lot for Sagamu, he has performed meritoriously well, though no one is perfect, so, he doesn't deserve degradation from all quarters. 

"I implore us all to be fair and recognise the great contributions of members of RIDSCo and not to downgrade them. There are better ways of agitating, or stating our plights, as much as I support equity fairness, and justice, but I guess you would all understand better only if you know what it takes to squeeze out money from these companies in Sagamu. 

"It's high time we start demanding more from our local government, you will agree with me that all the projects RIDSCo has been doing all these years are supposed to be done by the government, such as Boreholes, Bridges, Renovation of Schools etcetera, RIDSCo decided to do those projects under the Leadership of Baba Olotu Oyedele because we can't continue to wait for the government to do everything most especially during this period that we are experiencing economic meltdown.

"Further, how much has RIDSCO collected in 10 years, it was a thoughtful initiative by my Predecessor to pool CSR, if you destroy them these companies will not release funds. It is the same RIDSCo negotiating for a fire service station from federal government, Baba Olotu Oyedele has singlehandedly championed this course, he remained focused and determined.

"RIDSCo was instrumental in the establishment of the passport office. These are huge projects, and RIDSCo operates locally, so, our youths should demand more from the local administration.

"It is easy to criticise but let's be circumspect and not be ungrateful. We will make changes which are long overdue but not this way, my Royal Empire is opened to all, I have reiterated this times without number, bring your agitations to my Palace, I will attend to them all and won't leave a stone unturned

"During this jet age, people believe what they see or read in the media, projects were given out to our people within Sagamu, I don't get myself involved though but I can assure you that members of RIDSCo do ensure that such  projects are executed. If truly we want to develop Sagamu rapidly, we must cooperate with one and other, it will interest you to know that RIDSCo pays the salary of our vigilantes and security.

"As much as I commend the Youths for their agitations and yearnings, they can't be stampeded in anyway, all your various agitations would be looked into and I shall ensure that we do the needful speedily where necessary but remember to approach the necessary and appropriate quarters whenever you want to escalate issues like some other times"
