Giving back to the society is a watchword for every creative and grassroot politicians, Hon. Dewunmi Onanuga aka Ijaya, Member representing Remo Federal Constituency at the lower chamber of the national assembly is making her constituents proud across Remoland with her laudable projects and achievements which were contained in a press release by her Media Aide today after the commissioning of the said projects.
It was a day of joy as impactful, people's oriented projects initiated by Rep Adewunmi Oriyomi Onanuga, the MHR representing the fabulously united people of Remo Federal Constituency were unveiled today for the use of man kind. 1st Phase of rural electrification project for Orile Oko and Environs, Remo North LG, Ogun State commissioning was performed by Ogun State Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun MFR well represented by Deputy Governor of Ogun State Noimot Salako-Oyedele.
The Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun MFR in his speech delivered by the Deputy Governor, Engr Noimot Salako-Oyedele described the day as a day of joy for the people of Orile Oko as they're now connected to the national grid after 17 years of non usage of electric power. He enjoined the people of the community to take ownership of the project so that it will not be vandalized just as it was done to former electrical installations at about 2 decades ago when the installations were originally installed during the regime of former Governor Segun Osoba. She further annotated that people should always vote for politicians like Rep Onanuga Ijaya who according to the statement are "talk and do" politicians.
"I thank Ijaya for this project, Ijaya is really working hard towards the aspiration of the people. Hon Onanuga is working in synergy with the state government, reason for the seamless progress recorded", the Governor speech via the Deputy Governor concluded.
The event which was a well attended one had in attendance the Wife of Ogun State Governor, Mrs Bamidele Abiodun, the paramount ruler of Remo, HRM Oba Babatunde Adewale Ajayi (LLB,LLM,FCA), Hon Solomon Osho OGHA Remo North state constituency, Hon Sobukunola OGHA Ikenne state constituency, Sen Dipo Odujinri,

Akarigbo of Remo kingdom in his remarks pointed that his royal prayers for Orile Oko community about 3 years ago when he came visiting where he prayed that there will be light and road has now been answered as there is now light, he reiterated that there will be road too soon. The paramount ruler who is the Chairman of Ogun State council of Obas and Chiefs concluded his remarks by describing Ijaya as a good performer and prayed that her heart wishes will come to fruition.
Giving her remarks, the first lady, HE Mrs Bamidele Abiodun expressed delight in the projects, she averred that during the 2019 electioneering she was aware that elders of Orile Oko Community registered thier desire for electric power which is the most important, now it has been done by Rep Onanuga. Wife of Ogun Governor narrated the nostalgic experience of how she often trek the road that lead to the community via the Lagos Ibadan expressway route, she expressed a strong optimistic that the road will be rehabilitated soon by the Government of his husband Prince Dapo Abiodun MFR. The first lady performed the commissioning of the two other projects; Health Center Akofa, Orile Oko, Maternity Center, Irolu Ikenne LG.
Rep (Otunba) Adewunmi Oriyomi Onanuga speaking, said that the people of Remo North has done well and they're the reason why pledges should be redeemed, she appreciated the Governor who graciously give room for the projects to be feasible. She made known that the major ministries of the Ogun State govt is in attendance to ensure ease of operations of the projects.
She further averred that the Fidiwo bridge situation has been looked into by agency of the FG in charge, according to her, the bridge only need maintenance and will be maintained via the sukuk bond when it's been released.
Commissioner for Health, Dr Kemi Coker who spoke at the event revealed the support of the Ogun State government towards the operations of the Health Centres which includes supply of health workers to the facilities. Also, she made it known that the state government has approved the release of Tricycle ambulances to aid movement of pregnant women to the health centers with promise to erect a borehole for the community. Medical welfare programs of the state government was however revealed as well.
