Hon. Olapeju Ayodele, the Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for Sagamu Constituency 2, Makun, Ogun State, had earlier accused the All Progressives Congress (APC) of bribing some officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to upload fake results to the result viewing portal.


The Ogun State People's Democratic Party Candidate, Sagamu Constituency 2 Makun, in the just concluded House of Assembly elections, Honourable Ayodele Olapeju has withdrawn tribunal case challenging the victory of All Progressive Congress candidate, Honourable Adeniran Ademola Adeyinka popularly known as Sapele.


Meanwhile, Hon Adeniran Ademola Adeyinka aka Sapele had won Hon Olapeju Ayodele PJ at the just concluded house of assembly poll in Ogun State.


Olapeju Ayodele PJ under the platform of People's Democratic Party PDP, contested against Hon Adeniran Ademola Adeyinka Sapele who contested under the platform of All Progressives Congress APC but Sapele won the just concluded house of assembly election in Makun, Sagamu where he polled a total votes of 4,064 to defeat other party candidates including PJ.


Sapele was declared winner and given a certificate of return on Thursday, 30th of March, 2023. The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) presented a Certificate of Return to Sapele at the State Secretariat of INEC, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.


The withdrawal was confirmed and affirmed by Hon Olapeju Ayodele PJ of People's Democratic Party PDP.
