"I celebrate with His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun MFR on his affirmation as the duly elected Governor of Ogun State by the Supreme Court of Nigeria.

"The Supreme Court ruling is a confirmation of the irrefutable choice of the Ogun State people. It also reinforces the confidence our people have in the judiciary and advances the development of democracy in our Nation, Nigeria.

"Transparent, Accountable, Competent, and Committed leadership is the model leader- ship people crave for and that exactly is what His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun offers.

"Now is the time for the good people of Ogun State to support the mandate of our dear Governor and together take Ogun State to the promised land." Ijaya stated.

Meanwhile, a five-member panel of the court, in a unanimous judgment a moment ago, dismissed the appeal by Oladipupo Adebutu, who was the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the last governorship election in Ogun State.

Justice Tijani Abubakar, who read the lead judgment, held that Adebutu and his party failed to prove their case.

Justice Abubakar resolved all the issues raised for determination against the appellants and held that the appeal was without merit. He proceeded to dismiss it.
