The leadership of the Articulate Motorcycle Owners & Riders Association of Nigeria (AMORAN) has congratulated Ogun state governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun and his deputy, Engr. Noimot Oyedele-Salako over their victory at the Supreme Court.

The union in an official statement signed by its publicity secretary, Otunba Taofeek Sokoya congratulated Abiodun after the apex court on Friday affirmed his election as the duly elected governor of Ogun state.

"On behalf of our the entire members of AMORAN in Ogun state, I congratulate Governor Dapo Abiodun and Engr. Noimot Oyedele - Salako over the victory recorded at the Supreme Court which upheld their election as the duly elected Governor and deputy governor respectively, at the March 18, 2023 governorship poll.

Your multi-level victory, starting from the Tribunal to the appeal court and finally, to the Supreme Court, did not come as a surprise. The leadership of our union have always maintained that the Tribunal and Appeal Courts couldn't have been wrong after all. The apex court just affirmed this assertion.

Court cases after a divine electoral victory like yours could cause a huge distraction, thereby slowing down the wheel of progress but now that the unnecessary legal battles have been dealt a final blow, the building our future together agenda can now continue in full course.

"This is an ultimate triumph of the will of the people of Ogun state as expressed at the polling units, in their resolve to keep the state on the path of progress under your watch".

A five-member panel of the court, in a unanimous judgment a moment ago, dismissed the appeal by Oladipupo Adebutu, who was the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the last governorship election in Ogun State.

Justice Tijjani Abubakar, who read the lead judgment, held that Adebutu and his party failed to prove their case.

Justice Abubakar resolved all the issues raised for determination against the appellants and held that the appeal was without merit.

He proceeded to dismiss it.
